Since 1975, to celebrate Bangkok 200 years, elephants began to leave Surin to procure a living, begging in the streets of Bangkok. When the mahouts and owners found out that they can make so much money from begging then more and more elephants left their village and moved to the big city to work. Over the span of 20 years I have visited and become familiar with the people of Surin, trying to gain a footing in
